For every participant
How it works

How does simultaneous interpretation equipment work?

In simultaneous interpretation (also called simultaneous translation), the speaker talks into a microphone, the interpreter listens through headphones in a booth and interprets in real time. Their voice goes to a transmitter, which broadcasts each language on its own channel.

Each participant gets a receiver with headset and selects their language. Our infrared Bosch systems suit closed rooms and confidential meetings; the more mobile Sennheiser radio systems suit site visits and small groups.

For a short meeting or a site visit, a tour-guide kit is often enough: no booth, set up in minutes. For a conference of several hours in several languages, interpreter booth rental remains essential for the interpreters’ comfort and sound quality.

    FAQ

Frequently asked questions about equipment rental

Can I rent the equipment without interpreters?

Yes. You can rent the equipment only if you already have your interpreters. We can also provide the interpreters, with a single quote.

    Do you deliver outside Belgium?

Yes. We deliver and install the equipment everywhere in Belgium and in neighbouring countries: France, Luxembourg, Germany and the Netherlands.

What equipment do you rent out?

ISO-standard soundproof booths, Bosch interpretation systems (interpreter desks, transmitters, delegate microphones), Sennheiser tour-guide kits, receivers and headsets, plus microphones and sound systems.

Is an interpreter booth always required?

No. For a visit, a training session or a small group, a tour-guide kit is enough. For a conference of several hours in several languages, booths are recommended for sound quality and the interpreters’ comfort.

How many receivers do I need?

One receiver per participant who needs the interpretation, plus a small reserve. We help you estimate it from your registration list.

Simultaneous translation or simultaneous interpretation: what is the difference?

None for the equipment: both terms describe the same technique and the same booths, transmitters and headsets.

Infrared or radio: what is the difference?

Infrared stays inside the room: it suits closed and confidential meetings. Radio goes through walls and lets people move around: it suits visits and events on the move.

Is a technician present during the event?

Yes. The technician installs the equipment, runs the tests with the interpreters and stays on site to fix any issue live.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as the date is known. Contact us even for a short-notice event: we reply within 5 minutes and check availability.

    A multilingual event to equip?

Describe your event: a project manager proposes the set-up and quote within 5 minutes, in Belgium and neighbouring countries.
